Today I have rounded up my favorite purchases of 2020. Although shopping looked a bit different this year, online shopping became an even bigger hit. I was able to snag some amazing items from various retailers that have quickly become some of my top purchases to date.
For me, this year was all about searching for the perfect staple items to add to my wardrobe or collection, and I was able to do just that! Here are my favorites in no particular order:
Steve Madden Jacoby Over the Knee Boot
Before I purchased these, I had been eyeing them for a LONG time. I’ve always loved the look of over the knee boots (especially with dresses and skirts), so I knew I had to have these.
They have a pointed toe and a covered block heel that is 3.25 inches high – not too high to where you feel uncomfortable wearing them.
The boot comes in both a black and cognac color, which was extremely difficult for me to choose. I ultimately went with the black because they truly elongate the leg – so flattering!
I would definitely recommend sizing up at least a half size. Normally, I wear a size 9, but I purchased these in a 9.5. They are perfect to wear with thin socks, but if you plan on wearing them with thicker socks, I would size up a whole size.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
I ALWAYS have something on my lips whether it is a lip stain, lipstick, lipgloss, or my personal favorite, the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. And let me tell y’all, I swear by this product.
It is technically a leave-on mask that you apply overnight, but I like to apply it throughout the day. It gives my lips some shine while keeping them hydrated and plump. When my lips become really dry in the colder months, this is a lifesaver.
It comes in several different scents, but I’ve always used the original berry option. I’ve gotten several friends to purchase it this year, and they are just as happy with theirs!
Abercrombie Curve Love High Rise Skinny Jeans
These jeans are one of my most worn items of last year, and I still can’t get enough of them! As soon as I tried them on, they hugged my body perfectly and I instantly fell in love.
They are a high rise jean which are so incredibly flattering on everyone. They are part of the “curve love” line which fit with an additional two inches through the hip and thigh (but with no waist gap like some jeans).
They have built-in stretch (not super stretchy, but just enough) and are soft and comfortable to wear. I am wearing a size 27 long (true to size), which hits at just the right length on me. Blue Light Blocking Glasses
These glasses have become a necessity for me. I started my blogging journey back in May, so naturally, I have been behind my phone and computer screen a ton.
I was constantly straining my eyes and left with a headache by the end of the evening. These glasses have completely solved that issue. I have noticed a huge improvement when I wear them.
They come in a two pack (I purchased the clear and black pair) and I am obsessed. I have gotten several compliments on them, and the 22,000 reviews speak for themselves!
SPANX Faux Leather Leggings
Faux leather leggings have been a staple item for several years, and it doesn’t look like they are going away any time soon! I would highly recommend grabbing a pair since they are so incredibly versatile.
There are tons of options available on the market, but my SPANX pair are by far my absolute favorite. They are almost like a compression legging, so they control your tummy, hips, thighs, and rear.
When I say they are extremely flattering, I am not exaggerating. They hug my body in all the right places, and conceal the areas that I want to hide. You can wear them with dresses, tunics, oversized tees, you name it!
The sizing runs a bit snug, so I would recommend sizing up one size. Mine are a size medium and they fit like a glove. Click here to see how to style them!
Shein Cut-Out Side One Piece Swimsuit
I didn’t truly start wearing one piece swimsuits until last year, and they have become an obsession of mine. Not only do they give you a little more coverage, but they look incredibly chic.
The colorblock print makes this my favorite swimsuit purchase of the summer. The black and white gives such a great color contrast and is very slimming. But y’all, the bets part is it’s only $13! You can’t beat that price tag.
This swimmie is true to size, unless you are taller like me (I am 5’8″). I usually have to size up in one piece suits so that they are long enough, so I am wearing a size medium in this style. Check out all of my other favorite swimsuits under $15 here!
GLO Lit Teeth Whitening Kit
Earlier last year, the Glo Science team was gracious enough to gift me their GLO Lit Kit, which I had heard positive reviews about. So I was excited to try it out for myself! Let’s just say I am now utterly obsessed with this whitening system.
After just one application, I could already see that it was working. They recommend you use the product for 7-14 days, but I was able to achieve my desired results after just 7 days! So now I have a ton of vials leftover to use in the future.
This kit whitened my teeth better than any other method I’ve tried. I started with a shade 3 (they provide you with a tooth shade guide), and ended with a shade 1 – the lightest shade on their spectrum.

H&M Straight-Cut Black Blazer
An item that every woman needs in her closet is a classic black blazer. It is one of the most basic staple pieces that is very versatile and can help you transition your wardrobe through each season.
I love that you can take this one from a work setting to a more casual setting or night on the town. It is a straight-cut style, has lightly padded shoulder pads, and has a 3/4 length sleeve.
It comes in black, white, red, orange, turquoise, khaki green, and burgundy – so many to choose from! It’s just $35 and fits true to size (I’m wearing a small). I’ve put together three different ways to style this blazer here.
SPANX High Rise Flare Black Pants
Y’all already know I love the SPANX brand, so when I saw these flares on their website, I knew I needed to try them! They are one of my favorite purchases to date.
They are made of a smoothing ponte fabric that is super comfy and stretchy. The have a very high-waisted top which makes them even more flattering.
It has a stretchy waist band which I love, so there are no buttons, zippers, or hooks to mess with. It gives them more of a classic, simple look that is easy to pair with so many different outfits.
These flares are a best seller on their website, and I can see why! They come in a wide range of sizes and fit true to size. I purchased them in a small tall.
Nasty Gal Graphic Tees (style one / style two / style three)
Graphic tees were a hot item in 2020, and it looks like they’ll be coming back this year! From band and film tees to catchy slogan and logo tees, there’s an option for anyone looking to express themselves through fashion.
I have three favorites that are all from Nasty Gal. They have such a great selection of tees, and most of them are on major sale right now. My favorites are the Jim Beam tee, The Beatles tee, and the Bob Dylan tee (all linked above).
