Who else is ready for some family beach trips this summer? Most of the beaches in Charleston have opened back up, and more people are heading to the beach to enjoy the sun, sand, and waves (while social distancing, of course)!
With the summer quickly approaching, here are my highly requested beach trip essentials – baby edition! All of my top baby beach items are listed below.
- Babyganics Sunscreen – The most important item to pack for your beach babe is a good, quality sunscreen. If your baby is old enough to wear sunscreen, this is the one that I highly recommend. It is made of a non-allergenic formula so it will be super gentle on their skin. It is tear-free, water-resistant for 80 minutes, and is pediatrician and dermatologist tested. Make sure you stock up on this!
- Sun Hat – Sun protection for your baby is key, and an extra layer like a hat works wonders. This one has a tie strap which helps to keep the hat in place, as well as an adjustable toggle to customize the fit. It has extra neck coverage, is made of a UPF 50+ material that dries quickly, and comes in a ton of cute colors!
- Baby Sunglasses – This pair of sunglasses will grow with your baby until they are 2 years old. It has a strap which comes in handy if your baby likes to take their sunglasses off like my little girl does. The frames are made of a flexible material so you won’t have to worry about them breaking. The reviews speak for themselves!
- Bogg Bag (large tote) – If you are looking for a quality beach bag, this is it. It is durable, washable, and even tip-proof. This is a large tote, so it will fit all of your beach essentials without running out of space. After your fun-filled day at the beach, simply rinse it off, and it is good as new. A lot of the colors are currently out of stock but will be shipping in June or July. I promise it will be worth the wait!
- Hooded Beach Towel – Wrap your babies in this super soft hooded beach towel when they are ready to dry off. I love to use the bath version at home, as well. It will be even more useful when they get a little bit older and can use the pockets to hug the towel around them. It is made of a UPF 50+ material, and this one has the most adorable flamingo print design.
- Portable Fan – Grab this handheld fan to keep your babies cool on the beach. It is flexible and firm so you can make it fit in different places – whether you want it wrapped around an object, or standing on its own. Portable fans are also great for stroller rides!
- Beach Toys Set – Having toys for babies to play with is essential to keeping them occupied while you’re enjoying the sand between your toes. This set comes with so many different toys to choose from, and can grow with them as they get older. They are made of a soft plastic and come with a mesh bag to keep them stored.
- RuffleButts Rash Guard – It does not get any cuter than this seersucker one-piece swimsuit! It is made of a high-quality UPF 50+ fabric (all of RuffleButts clothing is made incredibly well). You can even add a monogram for a personal touch. And don’t worry, there are so many handsome boy options available. I highly recommend their clothes for both boys and girls!
- Baby Beach Tent – This item is a lifesaver if you want to keep your babies in a cool environment that is out of the sun. You can add water to the bottom of this UPF 50+ tent to keep your baby cool, and have a safe place for them splash around. Just pop it open and you are ready to go! When you are ready to leave, it is easy to fold up and place in the pouch for quick storage.
