Ashland’s Nursery Reveal

May 21, 2020

Today I will be sharing with you the nursery that I curated for our sweet, sweet baby girl, Ashland. In our last home, we had the nursery decorated in all neutral colors so that it would be suitable for both a boy and girl since I knew we would have a second baby. I absolutely loved that nursery, but with a new house and a new baby, it was time to give Ashland her own little oasis.

I can’t believe how much she has already grown up, but I hope she will like this room for a little while before we redecorate again! I knew I wanted the room to incorporate blush pinks, florals, and different textures.

Scroll to the bottom of the post for all links to the items!

This feature wall is my absolute favorite part about the room. And I am all about a feature wall because your eyes are immediately drawn to it when you walk in. It’s the statement piece and focal point of the space. I decorated the entire room around this floral wallpaper after I fell in love with it. It has the perfect hints of blush, and keeps the room airy and dreamy. And the best part is it is a removable wallpaper, so it will be easy to change up the space as she gets older.

This piece is the perfect dresser and changing station combination. But I have to admit… we pretty much never use the changing table. We had every intention of using it daily, but it ended up being easier to change her in our bedroom (so we keep a mini changing station in there). I knew I wanted a round, simple mirror above the dresser to give it a modern touch. This mirror was such a good find because it is rose gold and ties in perfectly with the pinks and blushes throughout the room. The basket next to her dresser is a great storage spot to hold all of her stuffed animals and blankets that have either been passed down to her, or given to her as new gifts.

This corner of her room is such a little gem. It’s the perfect reading nook as she gets older. Ashland already loves books, but she is quite the wiggler so she doesn’t want to be rocked for too long! She would much rather enjoy engaging in a book on her comfy area rug. This rug has become a favorite for both of my children. Some days, I even catch our son laying on it and bringing his baskets of toys in there to play.

I hope you enjoyed this little tour of our daughter’s room. I can’t wait to see Ashland grow up in this space, but sometimes I just wish time would slow down. It is true what they say… babies don’t keep! Please don’t hesitate to reach out or to email me with any questions you may have!
