15 Things You Probably Don’t Know About Me

I want y’all to get to know me a little bit better, so what better way than with some fun facts! Keep reading to get some more insight into my life and personality…

1. I am an extreme night owl. Even if I’m exhausted the entire day, I always get a second wind late at night. Netflix, Hulu, and YouTubeTV are my saints during this time. I am known to stay up well past midnight until I eventually get tired.
2. I was a marketing major (with an emphasis in sports marketing), but ended up in the finance department at a software company as my first job out of college. Just a tad different!
3. And speaking of jobs… my first job ever was at Rita’s Italian Ice. I worked there for four years and ate way too many gelatis (mango italian ice and vanilla custard is the perfect combination).
4. Our wedding occurred on the day of the 1,000 year flood (South Carolina’s record-breaking day of rain). But it was the most beautiful and romantic day I could have ever imagined.
5. My parents were certain that I was going to be a boy before I was born (they kept the gender a mystery until birth), and my name was going to be Blaine.
6. I am not a chocolate person at all, but hand me a plate of strawberry shortcake and I will start drooling.
7. Michael and I didn’t realize until after we started dating that our parents went to high school together. We even got their yearbooks out to take a peek. Such a small world!
8. I don’t drink any caffeine. Although some days, I’m not sure how I can even function without it with these wild kids.
9. I’m obsessively neat. I am constantly cleaning and the house has to be in perfect order before I go to bed every single night. And yes, this drives my husband crazy.
10. Spicy foods and drinks are an obsession of mine. There’s a pineapple habanero margarita in Charleston that is to die for.
11. I have no sense of direction in the car, so the GPS on my phone is used quite often.
12. HomeGoods is frequented by me at least three times a month. It’s hard not to go when they get new items in weekly. And there’s no better feeling than finding that perfect piece you’ve been searching for.
13. I am a conflict avoider. It makes me super uncomfortable and my anxiety tends to kicks in.
14. Action films are my absolute favorite. The Die Hard series, Bourne series, John Wick series, Mad Max… I could go on and on!
15. My dream vacation is to go to Greece and take in all of its natural beauty. A girl can dream, right?
